Located on 22 acres, Birchview is a premium horse boarding and training facility. The facility offers 27 stalls, fully fenced grass paddock turnout, a 100 x 300 arena laser graded with M10 footing, and a full jump course, acres of trails, climate controlled client tack-room, staff office, client lounge with kitchenette, and 1 60" TV where you can watch lessons/riding happening in the ring, client laundry and restroom.
We accept retirees and rehabs as well.
Our barn offers 26 matted 12x13 stalls, each with a window and closed motor fans . There are 2 hot/cold wash racks plus a tack up stall, all with fans. There are also crossties located throughout the aisles.
At Birchview you don't have to be part of the Training Program to be part of our family. We offer Birchview saddle pads, boots, polos, towels and brushes along with shampoo, fly-spray and show sheen to all our Boarders for use.
Birchview isn't just a traditional boarding facility. We also schedule routine maintenance and farrier appointments, so it's one less thing you have to worry about. Additional services, such as laser treatments and chiropractic appointments are available and can be signed up for using our app. Keeping your equine athlete at their best has never been so easy!
Elizabeth DeGolian is a professional rider and trainer based in Georgia, where she operates Peacewood Farm Ventures and trains out of Birchview Stables in Ball Ground. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Elizabeth competed on the Gamecocks’ Division I equestrian team from 2011–2015, earning recognition for her performance in the ring as well as her dedication to horsemanship. After college, her passion for developing sport horses and riders led her to establish her own program, where she combines hands-on experience with a thoughtful approach to training.
Elizabeth has guided U.S.-bred Oslo MK to standout results in the hunter ring, including strong performances at the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championship, multiple National Derby wins, and a top finish in the Marshall + Sterling Classic Hunter Derby. She has also produced competitive results with horses like Inland Empire, earning a reputation for bringing out the best in both imports and American-bred talent.
Her dedication extends to her students, helping them reach their own goals in the sport. Most recently, she coached Tori Binetti to qualify for Pony Finals 2026, a milestone that reflects Elizabeth’s ability to guide riders with precision, patience, and a clear vision for success.
With a background that blends national competition experience, proven results with young horses, and a commitment to individualized development, Elizabeth continues to build a program at Birchview Stables that emphasizes excellence in the show ring and the foundation of true horsemanship.
